Tofu production in Indonesia still uses conventional methods and the waste produced has not been utilized optimally. Making tofu produces quite a large volume of waste, especially liquid waste. This tofu liquid waste contains high protein which decomposes quickly. Tofu waste also contains organic compounds with a low pH and is a pollutant contributor to the aquatic environment if no processing is carried out before being discharged into the environment. If this liquid is discharged into the environment without prior treatment, it can cause a foul odor and an unpleasant atmosphere. Tofu waste treatment can be done by several methods, such as the addition of effective microorganism bacteria, plasma ozonation, biogas, and food production. The potential of processing tofu waste into more useful products is not widely known by the public. Therefore, an alternative method of processing tofu waste is needed which is more effective and efficient so that it is easy to apply to the community. Some processing of tofu waste has the potential to become liquid organic fertilizer and reduce pollutant levels so that it is safer to dispose of it into the environment. Therefore the purpose of this community service activity is to process tofu liquid waste into organic fertilizer using fermentation. The fermentation process takes 14 days with the addition of EM4, coconut sugar, and enough water. All ingredients are mixed and stirred evenly then put in a closed container. After two weeks the liquid organic fertilizer can be used to fertilize plants by the community in West Labuhbaru Village. This activity involved nine students in real work lectures. The form of evaluation is carried out periodically by visiting, directly monitoring the fermentation process; and limited use of liquid fertilizer products.
Saktioto Saktioto Juandi Muhammad Ari Sulistyo Rini Putri Oktavia Ramadhani Nurbaiti Nurbaiti Muhamad Ryan Fatiha Putra Julia Gustina Annisa Fitriani Wina Kurniasih Irkhas Perdana Sri Sagitari Pasaribu Giant Septyawan Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Innovation and Creativity Resources 2025-05-12 2025-05-12 2 2 43 48 Realization of post-COVID-19 hybrid physics learning at Al-Ulum Islamic School in Pekanbaru https://sintechcomjournal.com/index.php/jicr/article/view/255
In the post-COVID-19 pandemic, scholars and experts in scientific and social fields have provided each other with assistance and solutions to deal with problems in local communities' lives. The problems faced are quite realistic in everyday life, especially for students in the world of education in every school and college. This causes the quality of student education to relatively decline. Apart from that, the limited online learning media is an important factor that hinders the teaching and learning process. Therefore, physics management is needed through promotion in the development of current digital media in a hybrid manner to overcome problems in the education sector. This service method is carried out online by providing short material and several practical videos that explain various physical phenomena that occur in everyday life. The results of the first exam turned out to be still in the unsatisfactory category. Testing of insight and skills is carried out after learning activities by taking short and quick tests. The results of the second exam were very satisfying with an increase of 70% from the previous one.
Defrianto Defrianto Saktioto Saktioto Rahmondia Nanda Setiadi Rakhmawati Farma Yan Soerbakti Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Innovation and Creativity Resources 2025-05-12 2025-05-12 2 2 59 62 Design and implementation of smart gun sprayer of gulma controller tool of palm oil plantation in Bukit Kratai, Kampar District https://sintechcomjournal.com/index.php/jicr/article/view/244
This article reports community service activities in implementing ergonomically designed weed control tools based on renewable energy, as well as measuring the effectiveness of using designed tools compared to conventional tools. The design and design of the gun sprayer was carried out with students from the University of Riau's integrated Real Work Lecture (KKN). The weed control tool is designed based on renewable energy which utilizes solar panels as a converter of solar energy into electrical energy to drive a DC pump brushless motor. The tool is designed by taking into account ergonomic anthropometric data for the average body posture of Indonesians as users. While the sprayer is designed in the form of a smart gun sprayer, the length of the sprayer gun can be adjusted from 1.2 m to 3 meters, with adjustable nozzles, while the hose has a length of up to 100 m, so that this smart sprayer gun can reach wider and higher weeds. From the tests carried out, this tool can reach agricultural land within a radius of 100 square meters and can complete weed control in an area of 2 hectares in about 6 hours. In addition, this service activity ensures that the use of weed control tools with a smart gun sprayer can reduce the risk of work accidents and can increase work productivity by around 300%.
Dedi Irawan Azhar Azhar Muhammad Sahal Naila Fauza Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Innovation and Creativity Resources 2024-01-31 2024-01-31 2 2
